What's the difference between churches and para-church ministries?

Ans:  Fundamentally, churches are people-centric, whereas para-church ministries are project or program-centric.  This distinction is critical because it governs how you build each kind of organization.  The Church's of course are program driven, and para-church ministries of course are people-driven, but what's at its core is people vs. programs respectively.
